What this application is
Lotus Center of Oriental Medicine operates a private, internal command-line application to manage its own online advertising and website measurement. It is operated by one person — the clinic's marketing operator — and runs locally on their computer.
It is not a public product. There is no sign-up, no user accounts, and no way for anyone outside the clinic to use it. It is not sold, licensed, distributed, or offered as a service to anyone.
What it does
The tool replaces manual work that would otherwise be done by hand in Google's web interfaces or through spreadsheet uploads. Specifically, it:
- Retrieves performance reports for the clinic's own Google Ads campaigns — impressions, clicks, cost, and which search terms triggered ads
- Adds and pauses keywords, and adds negative keywords so the clinic's advertising budget is not spent on irrelevant searches
- Creates and updates the text of the clinic's search ads
- Adjusts campaign budgets and bids
- Reads website traffic data from the clinic's own Google Analytics property
- Reads search performance data from the clinic's own Search Console property, and submits its sitemap
- Reads and manages the clinic's own appointment calendar
What Google data it accesses, and why
The tool signs in with the clinic's own Google account and accesses only data that belongs to the clinic:
- Google Ads — to report on and manage the clinic's own advertising campaigns.
- Google Analytics — to understand how visitors use the clinic's website.
- Search Console — to monitor how the clinic's website performs in search results.
- Google Calendar — to manage the clinic's appointment availability.
It does not access any other person's Google account. It does not request access from patients, visitors, or any third party.
How data is handled
Credentials are stored locally on the operator's computer with restricted file permissions and are never shared or committed to source control. Data retrieved from Google is used to review advertising and website performance. It is not published, resold, or transferred to any third party, and it is not stored in any system reachable from the internet.
